Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 02/07/2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to enrollment in The Startup Gurukul (“TSG”) bootcamp. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions. Please read this Policy carefully before making payment, as it explains when refunds are and are not available.

1. Application Stage

Submitting an application through the Website does not involve any payment and carries no cancellation obligations. You may withdraw your application at any time before making payment, at no cost, by contacting us at [email protected].

2. Seat Confirmation and Payment

Once your application is selected, you are required to pay an admission fee of INR 30,000 to confirm your seat, by the date communicated to you via email or other official communication. Failure to pay the admission fee by the communicated date does not guarantee retention of your seat, and it may be offered to another applicant.

Your seat is confirmed only upon receipt of the admission fee. The balance of the Programme fee (net of any approved scholarship) must be paid by the subsequent deadline communicated to you. Payments made are non-transferable to a later cohort unless agreed in writing by TSG.

3. Cancellation by You

Once your seat is confirmed, no cancellations are allowed. Cancellation shall not lead to a refund of the admission fee or any other amount paid, and no refund will be issued for cancellation, withdrawal, or non-attendance regardless of reason, except where required by law.

If you are unable to attend the cohort you enrolled in, you may request a deferral to a future cohort, in accordance with the Deferral policy set out in Section 4 of this Policy.

4. Deferral

If you are unable to attend a cohort you have enrolled in, you may request a one-time deferral to a future cohort, subject to seat availability and any fee difference for the new cohort. Deferral requests must be made in writing at least 14 days before the Programme start date. Any deferral request received after this deadline will not be entertained.

5. Cancellation or Rescheduling by TSG

TSG reserves the right to reschedule a cohort to any date falling within 30 calendar days of the originally scheduled start date, at its sole discretion. Such rescheduling shall not be considered a cancellation, and all enrolled participants shall be moved to the rescheduled cohort, with no refund entitlement arising solely from the reschedule.

If the cohort is postponed beyond 30 calendar days from the original date, such situation shall be treated as a cancellation, and enrolled participants shall be entitled to a full refund.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The GTM Playbook and any other free digital resources provided upon request are not part of any paid enrollment and are not eligible for refund, as no payment is made to access them.

7. Force Majeure

TSG shall not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver the Programme due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, or other events of force majeure. In such cases, we will work with enrolled participants in good faith on rescheduling or partial refunds, as appropriate to the circumstances.

8. How to Request a Deferral

To request a deferral, please email us at [email protected] with your full name, application details, and reason for the request. We will acknowledge your request within 7 business days.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your payment will govern your enrollment, unless a change is required by law. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
